let's carrie on
Pardon me for the 2-month hiatus folks, for I am back. My blog goes through yet another revival like Jean Grey and let's see how long this lasts.

So, Sex and the City. For those not in the know, this is the favourite show of women and gay men. Just watch a couple of episodes of the TV series and you'll know. 4 women looking for love in very different ways. We've got Carrie, the romance column writer (who somehow wanted Big for the rest of her life); Miranda, the way too rational one (unbelievably, head over heart even when it comes to love); Charlotte, the prim and proper Stepford wife (with an amusing auntie twist); and Samantha, the shag-a-thon champion (whom I absolutely adore).

The movie wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Sure, in the beginning it looks like it could be season 7 episode 1 of the series and the usual chick flick must-haves are present. But somewhere down there is a reasonable plot, and there're also dramatic scenes that requires huge amounts of money or the characters to put in more emotion.

Finally guys, your girlfriend will be more in love with you for bringing them to this film. Little girly squeals can be heard when those Manolo Blahnik pumps, Vivienne Westwood gown and Louis Vuitton bag appeared on screen. She will love you for taking them to 2 hours worth of absolutely beautiful clothing courtesy of Miss Carrie my-wardrobe-is-bigger-than-your-apartment Bradshaw. And they'll also be glad that you brought them to a movie with male frontal nudity.
