climb boy, climb--
National Vertical Marathon was held last Sunday at Republic Plaza and it was the first time I took part in NVM. Yes ME! Can you believe it, the king of gluttony and sloth climbs 60 storeys of Singapore's tallest building. Woo hoo! Team Bucky Rox! Tag number 9033 (me) finishes the climb in an unknown amount of time (all I know is it's 10+ minutes).

To be completely honest though, it's not really that huge a challenge to conquer. One probably wouldn't feel much in their leg muscles but the killer is catching breaths while climbing. So if you count the registration fee to be solely on the climbing itself, it costs about $1 per minute, or more if you climb fast enough. A slight disappointment was when I realized that at the end of 1380 steps we wouldn't be coming out of the rooftop of the building or even somewhere to get an aerial view of what's around. Next time the organisers should just make us climb all the way up (it's just a few more storeys anyway. what difference does it make when you've already climbed 60 right?).

So one thing that I wanted to try completed. Next up, 128km-long round island Bike Rally on 1 June. Somebody go with me! PS it's not competitive so don't get stunned by the distance. Hahah!
