We've heard alot about the national dragonboaters who lost their lives in Cambodia for the past couple of weeks. It is a tragic freak incident and of course triggered alot of comments like life is very unfair and unpredictable and of course, to show your love to the important people around all of us.
"Tell your family or friends or other halves that you love them now", reads many a journal. Messages like this can be seen all over when tsunami hit and when there was a terrorist in our neighbouring country. But why is it that people always urge their fellows to show appreciation for the important people in their lives only when major incidents that shake the community happens or when it's the holidays?
It's all well to send a nice hand-made card to friends during the holidays but isn't it even better to surprise him/her with a bag of home-made cookies out of nowhere? Well it's just a thought, but the latter kinda feels so much more special. And besides, there are many ways to show someone how much they mean to you, and alot of times it's not the material things that count.
Whatever the case, congratulations to those who still have the most loved around you, especially to those who've found the person you want to share your life with. Of course I'm talking about you, Violet. Congratulations my dear friend! :)
